DemiJoju, a soul jazz band from Hong Kong. Known for their captivating original grooves and tunes, DemiJoju brings a fresh blend of creativity and energy to every stage. Their name, crafted from the initials of the members, reflects their dynamic spirit, drawing inspiration from the vibrant character Jobu Tupaki in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

What sets DemiJoju apart is their seamless blend of genres, initially formed by three ENT surgeons: David (Rhinologist) the Synthesist, Eric (Head & Neck Surgeon) the Bassist, and Justin (Resident in ENT) the Guitarist, who collaborate in both music and medicine. They were later joined by drummer Jonathan, who performs with David at various venues, while vocalist Maisha, an English teacher passionate about jazz and pop, joined after meeting David at a local jam session. The five of them have been playing together since 2023 and have been active in local music venues since then.

DemiJoju believes that art should flow freely, making each performance a unique and unforgettable experience, with music and improvisations shaped by the vibe of the venue, the audience, and the performance itself.
